The celebration of the 150th anniversary of the decision of the U.S. Supreme Court in the Dartmouth College Case was held on April 9, 1969, in the Court of Claims, Washington, D.C.; the celebration also commemorated the career of Daniel Webster, the advocate who defended the case before the Supreme Court. Richardson was graduated from Dartmouth College in 1900, receiving his Litt. B. He was an instructor of chemistry from 1902 until 1910, and an assistant professor from 1910 until 1919.
